As October chilly nights are making their way onboard, the leaves are flowing through the rigid air, and bonfires are blazing, we all know what big holiday is approaching. Halloween is the backbone of October and a campground located in Catawissa, PA called Ideal Park is hosting their annual “Halloweekend” throughout the campground.

”It’s one of our popular weekends here at the campground, and some people really get involved. It’s very cool to see the creativity some of the fellow campers have,” said Ideal Park owner Laura Weaver.

Weaver has been brainstorming different special events  since she took over the area back many years ago and stated that it feels great to be able to give this opportunity to this wide range of people.

“We have been camping here for 12 years, and every year there is a new event and we all look forward to see what the next year has planned. It is always interesting to see the variety of costumes throughout  the years and the karaoke night is always a blast as well,” said camper Gary Thomas.

Halloweekend will be kicking off their events Friday night, September 30th with a trick-or -treating parade starting at dusk around the campground, and ending Saturday with a costume party and karaoke to follow.

If you have any questions regarding anything about this local campground events and or rates to stay, contact Weaver at (570) 799-5740 or take a look at Ideal Park Facebook page here.
